[BLUG] Who is playing NWN tonight or in the future?

Doing a group game of Neverwinter Nights might take a little more
coordination than just everyone joining the game. Can you let me know
if you are planning on playing NWN tonight or in the future and what
type of character you were hoping to play?

The game starts at 9pm tonight, but try to start about 8:45 because
you'll need to create a character and stuff.

Thanks.

Re: [BLUG] Changes to gaming schedule

When my fiancée first saw me playing it, she was sort of annoyed
because I'd get sucked into it and forget everything else that was
going on. Then she was like "I'm bored, show me how to play that
thing", and she was rather frustrated through the character creation
process because I sort of intuitively understood everything that was
going on (because I used to be a D&D geek, right up to the point where
AD&D3E came out so I got familiar with those rules even though I never
played them IRL) and she didn't. I explained a little bit about how
things worked, and then *boom*...I lost her and my computer, both.

I suddenly understood what it looked like, from the outside, to be so
absorbed in a video game that you forget to eat and sleep.

It would have been more amusing if we'd had two computers, though.

I'll have to find a Target nearby and see...

Oh, and you guys might appreciate this: I found a copy of Darwinia at
Big Lots for $3!

Re: [BLUG] Changes to gaming schedule

Sorry. NWN is a pretty fun game. Last week Chris Walker and I
played through a module that took about 3 hours and both of us had a lot
fun with it. We played a custom created module, not the default module
that comes with the game. I think we'll try playing the default module
this weekend. But that's Longggggg. We might have enough time to get
through half of the first chapter.

You can find NWN still on store shelves almost anywhere. Nowadays
they have the diamond edition on shelves which has the original game,
plus the two additional expansion packs and the Kingmaker module. All
for about $20 or less. I found it at Target for $13, but it was the
last one and it was on clearance. Pretty good deal for what you get and
we'll play it enough times to make it worth your money.

Re: [BLUG] Changes to gaming schedule

Aggh, that stinks, I've been ready for that game since day one. That's okay though --- I can wait. I've got questions about Neverwinter Nights --- how is this game? How much? I had never heard of this game.

[BLUG] Changes to gaming schedule

I'm going to have to make some changes to the gaming schedule. I
haven't had time to look into setting up the World of Padman client or
server much, so I'm going to postpone that game until later. Instead,
I've put in Neverwinter Nights in for this week and BZFlag for next
week.

[BLUG] Reminder: Next meeting is 5/22/2007

I was just informed that someone new to the list was unaware that the
next meeting is happening next week.

As such I wanted to send a reminder.

Due to the room being unavailable for us tonight, the meeting is being
held next week.

Cheers,
Steven Black

[BLUG] off topic: starting a sole proprietor business in IN

Hi,

This is very off topic, but I'm sure there are others on this list in a
similar situation as me...

If you have started a business in this state as a sole proprietor, could
you please contact me off the list? I'd like to pick your brains, if you
don't mind :)

Sorry to all of those whom this doesn't apply to...
