[BLUG] Results of Gaming Survey

Here are the results of the gaming survey. Overall, I was happy with
the number of respondents. More than I expected. And there seems to be
generally more interest in playing weekly multiplayer games than I've
been seeing, I think that what we need to do is have more accessable
games for a while to build up interest, then we can have more variety.
I'm going to adjust the gaming schedule a bit to reflect the results of
this survey.

I have excluded my own survey submittion in the results.

15. Anonymous comments that were interesting:

o I don't play games often enough for my opinion to really matter... =)
o I'd focus on freely available games
o I'm not particularly educated on what all the good games for Linux are.
o Right now I'm on a BZ kick.
o So, I'm not saying I'd NEVER play a game like this, I suspect I'd
enjoy it once or twice to see what it's like. But, I am really not in to
video games, so I don't think you should base any of the decisions on
someone like me.
o What about making our own BLUG game, for example with PyGame?
o Wish egoboo were networkable; any thoughts on "adopting" an incomplete
open source game?

[BLUG] BLUG gaming session tonight (Neverwinter Nights)

Tonight starting at 9pm, we're going to play Neverwinter Nights.
Instructions are available here:

http://www.bloomingtonlinux.org/wiki/Neverwinter_Nights

I've found a couple community developed modules for it that should
work well for multiplayer and will only take about 3 hours to complete.

Now I have noticed that so far in the surveys that a few people have
answered that they have Neverwinter Nights and also they are available
during the Saturday night 8 to midnight timeslot. So I'm hoping more
people will show up this time. NWN is the kind of game that even with
only two people, its a lot of fun because of the gameplay.

See you in the game.
