Hello All:
After my last post, Michael S. not only offered to help, but suggested I pose my questions/issues on this list in case anyone else might be interested in trying to get Virtual Box OSE going on their Ubuntu computer. So I'll try to keep this kinda brief - here's what you need to know:
- The OS I'm running is Ubuntu Hardy Heron.
- I installed Virtual Box OSE without problems - it is quite easy since it is in the repositories.
- I used all the defaults when setting up the program - I selected dynamic disk in the set up. I'm trying to set up a virtual XP machine.
- I never get far enough to actually use my XP disk to finish the install - when I start the virtual computer I've created, I get a notice like the one attached to this message. Hopefully my message won't be blocked because of this attachment.
I know that this error is a basic, simple thing, but have been unable to remedy it so far. I also know that the solution is listed in the Ubuntu forums somewhere, but I've been unable to naviage my way back to that spot. Any help would be appreciate - don't be afraid to keep it simple. I still have a lot to learn about Ubuntu. I'm sure I've left out many details, but like I said, if I could get this rolling, it would rock.
