I don't think you are.

If everyone switched to riding bikes for N days/months from the 15th on.
Then *maybe* it would make some kind of difference. Not buying gas for one
day does not. It's simply not that kind of product. What you don't buy on
the 15th you will on the 16th. Additionally, consumers aren't buying gas
from the oil companies deciding the prices, they buy it from regular
schmoes who own gas stations and pay to put the name of some oil company on
their sign. Those people *pay for the gas in advance*. All we'll do is
screw some guy who owns a gas station by making him pay some employees
hourly wage that day while not bringing in money from selling gas. It
doesn't hurt the oil company, they've been paid already.

All economic tom-foolery aside, can we keep the list mostly about Linux?
Surely everyone has already received a few of these forwards from their
relatives who play the forwarding game.
