Right, however only old hardware will have PATA drives. It is easy to
think "UltraIDE" and to still have the device names shift on you.

This is one of the reasons Ubuntu migrated /etc/fstab to refer to
devices by UUIDs (you can also refer to them by label, but UUID is
guaranteed to be unique).
